US immigrant details terrifying experience at popular Australian music festival: ‘I want my money’

An American expat who swapped the sunny skies of Los Angeles for Sydney has opened up about her experience at her first Australian music festival.

Speaking on TikTok, the fitness trainer told her 3,000 followers on the platform that she went to the festival – held at Moore Park – because she was a “huge fan of John Summit”.

“I love him and I’ve seen a lot of his shows…I’ve met him in person and he’s the nicest person…I was so excited to go,” she explained, adding that the drama started as soon as she arrived. at the scene.

“Arriving at the festival, we went to the bathroom and [were] waiting patiently in line. My friend and I were next, and as the door opens and we’re about to get into this pot, this girl just comes and shoves it down our throats…and pulls my friend’s shirt off to get her out of the bathroom. . She went on to explain the chaos unfolding at John Summit’s set, where she and her friend walked into the crowd “very sober” but was horrified when a fellow concertgoer knocked her out of the way.

“I said hey, please excuse me…in an instant he raises his hand and punches me in the face,” she said.

“So I got punched in the face by a guy…my boyfriend is now ready to go and punch him. I ran and hit this guy. I’ve never seen a guy put his hand on a woman at a festival… that was so scary, I want my money back.”
